Dodgy have a new album out and it's ace

Not that anybody's looking this thread really at the moment... but I couldn't let my excitement at this release pass without mention. Dodgy have always been in my top five bands, and those of us who love them have had to endure a painfully long wait since Free Peace Sweet. There was Real Estate, which was a brilliant album, but should never have been put out under the name Dodgy because it didn't feature Nigel Clarke.

Anyway - Stand Upright In A Cool Place, will be VERY hard to beat as the best album this year. It's beautiful, heartfelt, and deserves to be heralded as a classic modern folk pop gem much more than, for instance, Mumford or Fleet Foxes.

I'm not joking. Personally, I can't believe the Stone Roses would be in anybody's top 5, simply because they don't have enough music to warrant it.

Well it'd be boring if we all had the same opinions and tastes. It's just a pity for the rest of you that mine are the right ones
