Albums for 2012

Postby dparrott » Thu Dec 29, 2011 4:51 pm

What's to look forward to? I just heard that Scissor Sisters will release a new album, and Warpaint's working on a new one. Radiohead?
Well, you know, you've grown up and I obviously haven't.

I wish the rain would just leave me alone.

Bring Me the Horizon are going for a post-rock influenced sound which seems interesting, Soulfly are returning to death metal with their new album and my friends Bleeding Oath are releasing an EP. There are loads more I cba to remember.

Dan Deacon is reportedly around half-done with the mixing of his next LP. That'll be great.

There's been way too long of a silence regarding the next Franz Ferdinand LP, I hope that gets released sometime in 2012.

The living Beach Boys are making an album, apparently. It could be good, kind of depends on how much control Brian has.

I was thinking about this only 30 minutes ago, though i hope its alogn the lines of the band's previous two albums (love them both, not as much a fan of the first)

wait, what??

The first was reasonable, and it was downhill after. The only way I can see them become interesting is if they follow the Walk Away / Eleanor road. Those are lovely songs that steer away from their formula, and I wish they have the guts for doing that for more than 1 or 2 songs an album.

I don't like the first Franz album as much. It's got a few good ones but I think they've improved with each release.

I personally think the debut was good, but You Could Have it So Much Better was far better, and then Tonight was brilliant.
