Postby Chrome Coloured Clone » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:03 pm

I can't believe there's nothing up about this. Can't believe it's been a year since one of the greatest nights of my life!. Please feel free to share your memories.

*sighs and listens to fool's day*

Remembering I walked the whole way back from the pub near Hydepark to the hotel on my own, which was a stupid idea, it took ages. Never knew that Bayswater road is sooo long, when you're tired hungry and had several pints
On the 3rd we were we're still hoping that we might hear Bugman, Peach or Best days

ah and after gig number 9 my voice was finally gone, and I sounded like Marianne Faithful for a month

I really wish I went. :(

I didn't have enough money but I could have scrounged off my mum or something.

6 months ago, there was a competition organised by EMI France to win 2009 Hyde Park programs. This morning I've received it !!!
LOL

It took EMI 6 month to send it ! But receiving it 1 year exactly after this huge gig means a lot to me :)

I remember waiting at Marble Arch on my own after we split up, a little drunk but thus completely convinced I was going to catch a bus even though I had no idea which direction I had to go, let alone which stop to wait for it... And then the next bus coming said RUSSEL SQUARE - where my student house was...

And then the next night I remember being in the pub after the gig where a guy next to me asked whether I had been in Colchester - he remembered the girl on the crowd surfing video...

memories...
everything is constantly evolving...

I remember a bottle of beer hitting me right into my head and a few seconds after this witnessing a botlle-rain in a truly strenuous battle... And I hadn't even brought a helmet!

I remember being carried out by the crazy jumping-crowd during Country House and almost saved my friend's life pulling out her hand after being gobbled down by people going berserk. I rescued her safe and sound and then we stood back in a far-off, non barbarian and safer territory...

I remember a beautiful sunset. And the moon 8)

I remember both days being two of the most special days of my life.

Relentless bottle-throwing from half the audience; repeated punch ups. Really foul atmosphere. Left early.

Yeah, even though the gigs were triumphs, they were marred by an awful lot of yobs and their idiotic behavior, such as this (stories like this were legion last summer)...really the only thing that ruined some great shows, at least from my perspective at a distance...

Yeah, both gigs were full of very drunken people that seemed more interested in playing the fool than in the band itself... That was my general impression and many people agree with this too. Anyway, I myself beared with that, partly because it was for me the first time seeing the four Blur boys together and was really excited. Otherwise, I suppose I wouldn't have stayed during all the show so near the stage putting up with crazy people nudging, jumping, pushing, steping on my feet... Probably I would have stood back and enjoyed it from the distance or quietly in the stands at the side.

In spite of that, I of course have very good memories of the shows and those few days I spent in an unsual hot London. Oh... I want Blur back again! :D If possible in Spain... no matter Damon's bracelets   Well, just dreaming...
