How many Smiths tracks have you listened to?

An album of Singles.

What Clash song have you heard?

An album of London Calling.

Sandinstia! is easily their most varied album. All sorts of sounds and styles are in that album. Straightforward punk is their debut, a sort of "halway between the debut and London Calling" is GEER. Then a bit poppy..Combat Rock. Then a very 80s synthy drum machine album..actually made by Bernie Rhodes - is Cut the Crap.

The Who. I've never been able to get into them. I'm listening to their album Who's Next right now and it just doesn't hit me at all. The only song that does is Won't Get Fooled Again. Apart from that, nowt.

Me neither... I've tried the My Generation and Sell Out albums, and though I hear the occasional good song they just don't hit the spot.

I liked that album... I wouldn't DARE compare it to Green Day though, Graham would bury them alive.

try tommy. i mean, lots of people say it's crap but it might work for you, i love it :3 have you listened to live in leeds btw? i've been putting it off for years but it's supposed to be the best live rock album or wevs.
ah hopefully someone more competent who-wise can chime in, i know they can be a bit hard to get into, but anything you end up liking will stick with you for a long time c:

Radiohead, Paul Weller (just about tolerate the Jam), any hard rock/metal band (from Guns'n'Roses to Metallica, not because I rate them in any particular way, just their music does nothing for me).

I like the Smiths, but can't stand Morrissey, and frankly if it weren't for Johnny Marr I would probably not like them much.

Also bands like Greenday, Blink182 and all that American punk malarkey.

Not a big fan of Foo Fighters.

I can't think of any other mostly rated band I can't get into... some I love, some I like, some I listen to on a casual basis, but not many that would make me want to change channel if they started playing on the radio.

Agreed. And may I add Elvis Costello? I have tried many of his albums, can hear why people think he's a legend, but he just doesn't do it for me.

They are the same as Blur just a different name. I know what you mean, you don't like Blur's time as Seymour but they -are- the same band.

Sorry, on a "pradantac" mood today. :|
