tabs are easy once u know how. the number refers to the fret at which you cover the string, and the strings are arranged with top 'e' at the top and bottom 'E' at the bottom. For example an 'A' chord would look like this:

e-------0---------- open (no string covered)
G-------2---------- second fret
B-------2---------- second fret
D-------2---------- second fret
A-------0----------- open
E-------x----------- not played

a useful way to help yourself with tabs is to stick little numbers on the neck of your guitar corresponding to the number of the fret underneath

Why thank you... I knew that... I just don't get how you can tell how to play each note... like quater notes and such... and which is a new measure... if they even do that with tabs.

G   A   C   Bm   C   Bm
And the day will come and you'll get away from it,
C   Bm
Away from it

D

G   A   C   Bm   C   Bm
And when it comes, you'll feel the weight of it
C   Bm
The weight of it
G   A   C   Bm   C   Bm
And the day and you'll get away from it,
C   Bm
Away from it

Boing...oh, and Good Song

Postby Omnium » Fri Apr 09, 2004 11:21 pm

This is the attempted tab of the main Good Song acoustic line.

e|---8----5--------2s/3------3----5------4s/5--4s/5--|
B|----------3--5---------3----------3--5---------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------|

I hope this is useful, folks. If not, you can track me down and shoot me.
