What was it like waiting 4 years to be given that?

I don't have a favourite Blur album.
I think it's a brilliant album, 'though it doesn't sound very energentic.
That isn't a good or a bad thing to me.

Think Tank is excellent.

How long, how long will I slide?
Separate my side; I don't.
I don't believe it's bad.
Slit my throat,
It's all I ever...

i was very disapointed. I now know never to wait for another album, so ive lost touch with franz ferdinand, and other such bands, cos they have nothing out at the moment, im always going to expect the worse from now on. Because if it is gud, then i'll be even more happy.
I talk on twitter as well sometimes.

Never wait - you only drive yourself mad in the process

A bit like obsession really because it is

i dunno really, i wasnt disapointed as such. but by the same token i hadnt resigned myself to expecting it to be crap. so i had a few listens, couldnt get into it but i wasnt too bothered because theyve done so much good stuff over the years.

im hopin think tank was just a blip and that ill like the next album a lot more.

Postby bob Scene » Tue Mar 08, 2005 12:14 pm

maybe thats a bit harsh, but i went to all but one of the astoria shows in '03 learnt all the songs before TT was released and loved every single night. now looking back, i can see i was just trying to get the magic back of years ago. the album is ok, but not a patch on blur et'al
some bits are too radio friendly.

I caught them 3 times in 2003, only once at the Astoria nights. By the last show I pretty much knew what to expect which was a bit of a shame.

Bands like Pearl Jam (who have roughly the same amount of material) can do two shows with completley different material in each, shame Blur didn't do that, would've been more special
