It is very sad news. I hate it when I like the group, then they parted. I feel that I'm late to the party. It's like Blur, I began to love them after they split, then it was Hidepark. So maybe, White Stripes will again come together and make Hidepark or so. That's it.

It is difficult, if you have two people, male and female, and they parted. I think they should have tried harder to make it work. They could go for marriage guidance and counseling received. Looks like they could be releasing a single on White's Third Man Records as part of the 'Blue Series Singles' he's been doing. Beck released one a week or so ago and if that's anything to go buy it should be pretty good.
