A band called The Flannery's.

They did this one album

But there is also this album rumoured to be by them

The album "Celtic rhythms" anyway - was also released with this on the cover...

Just discovered Jane's Addiction.

I always thought of them as another "shock rock" band. "Nothing's Shocking" quickly dispelled that notion. I really don't dislike a single song on that album.

Amiina

They're the string quartet who performed with Sigur Rós and their latest album 'Puzzle' has some really nice electro-acoustic-ish tunes.

I've been listening to loads of Foster the People recently and Fleet Foxes. Both quality bands, really!

Big Audio (i knew about them for a while, but had never heard any songs by them. This is not Big Audio Dynamite, the only thing in common between the two is Mick Jones)
The Other Two (as their name says, this is the other two from New Order)
One Night of Queen (the actually-good tribute band for Queen featuring the guy that won Stars in Their Eyes in 2000 as Freddie Mercury, the best Freddie impersonator there is)
The 101ers (pre-Clash Joe Strummer, actually very good i recon)
The Jags (i was forced to listen to bad old Heart radio when Back of My Hand by The Jags came on, i never heard it before, i liked it and it's probaly the only decent track Heart has ever played)
Girl (Early Def Leppard and pre-LA Guns lineup, OK but not great)
Contraband (Tracii Guns having fun with some other metalheads during the height of LA Guns)
Rock Star Supernova (Yeah, never knew about this at all. But i don't watch American reality tv, so...)
Neurotic Outsiders (A band with one album i need to hear. I'm not expecting it to sound like Sex Pistols or Guns N' Roses, as i have been instructed it will sond a bit pop punky, worrying but i want to see what its all like)
The Albion Band (So this is Phil Beer before Show of Hands, when he was close with 80s folk artists and all that. An exhaustive discography i will attend to)
Albion Dance Band (Somehow different than The Albion Band but i'm pretty certain its just the same band lineup of The Albion Band's late 80s lineup)

My workmate is your regular everyday normal hipster, so for every new band I discover, I have to credit him for it xD

Lately I'm completely in love with I Break Horses. They only have an album so far, "Hearts", but what an album.

How come you've only heard of Primal Scream just recently? No offence, but this is like the Waterfall thing.

Because not everybody is as cool and knowledgeable as you are, but we're all working as hard as we can to reach your lofty standards.

Recently I've been liking Kindness, especially this song -

and I'm quite jealous of his glorious hair.
