if yes, hmm, no good, if not, stop using the term depression

actually, yes...I'm hoping things'll turn around soon, though...I"m generally an optimistic person so even when I'm feeling crap I think something good will come around the next corner...

Eh, he lives 2 hours away, I'll get it when I see him in a few weeks...

BTW was there a feeling among people there in person that Hyde Park was sort of anti-climactic after the previous shows (including Glasto)?

I did 2 of the warm up shows as well as Hyde Park. And although I had a fantastic view and great times at the smaller venues, Hyde was a magical day. Defo not anti-climatic. It felt like a celebration to me. We even had a picnic there as well. I get goosebumps thinking of them days. Every gig to me was a different experience.

damn what a sourpuss.

i thought the bottle throwing was really fun, to be honest, and i got smacked in the head as much as anyone, although i didn't partake in the throwing myself. people were just happy, that's all.

I have real mixed feelings about Hyde Park - I was only able to go on the Thursday as I had a family wedding on the Friday (:-( - I actually shed a few tears when I got the first pre-sale link for the 3rd and realised I couldn't go) and so I always feel like I missed the better show of the two. It also followed Glastonbury which was the greatest Blur show that I had ever seen and Southend, which was the first show of the reunion for me so REALLY exiciting. Saying all of that though, I did really enjoy it and wasn't disappointed. I think all the shows I saw that summer were special in their own ways.

Although I was at the 3rd, for some reason after watching the DVD, the 2nd seemed the better performance. I'm probably saying that cos I can keep going back to it whenever I want. Yes, I can also do that with the CD of the 3rd but we all know about the qualiity. Plus obviously, I can't SEE the 3rd.
Nothing is wrong, she turns me on.

^while my opinion of the show on the 2nd has improved after seeing the DVD, I still maintain the 3rd was the superior show

I was visiting London again a week ago and Hyde Park is still definitely my favourite place. So beautiful and full of different people and of course awesome memories from the gig! I'll never forget the sunset and moon coming up and Damon telling all people to "say hello to moon"!

July 3rd for me consisted of:

-Visiting Marc Bolan's memorial in Hampstead
-Climbing Primrose Hill
-Couple of beers in Camden
-Blur gig

Sounds perfect!! Primrose Hill was the best place to be in the evening. (You know the song North West Three from Fatboy Slim?) I would also have liked to visit Marc Bolan's memorial but run out of time. :(

Is Bolan highly regarded in the UK? Always thought he was wildly overrated myself...

Best day of my life :) Ever. When Damon told us to say hello to the moon! <3
And, I was a little bit piiisssed, cause this man was in my way when Damon told us to look at the sun. I didn't see it.
And I ran when Damon told me to! :D I love Damon! Blur <3
♫ I am an ex offender, They let me out in the summer, I think I was in a coma, I didn't know what to do. Oh no. ♫
